Elevation designed and operates three corporate fitness centers for a national Fortune 500 company intent on addressing the health and fitness needs of its 2,000 employees and cutting its overall healthcare costs.
About 42% of the company’s employees participate in the program, which provides fitness assessments, programming, weight training circuits and free weights, as well as a safe space to relieve stress, improve their health and wellness, and share time with each other outside the office. The hours of the centers accommodate employees’ work and personal schedules, and incentives, including employer-sponsored employee rewards and employee reimbursement programs, encourage greater participation.
The success of the program has led the employer to start design on a fourth center, slated to open in 2013.
